Why processes and methodologies donot always work?
Processes and methodologies do not always work. I appreciate the importance of the processes but I have seen managers getting so much stuck with the processes that they would ignore the ground realities and would consider you an idiot if you suggest some deviation from the process. There is usually a direct relationship between the usefulness of the processes and the quality of the managers. i.e., the processes are useful only if you have smart managers.

Disclaimer
I checked my company's blogging policy. Looks like it should be fine if I just add the following disclaimer on the main page.
“The opinions expressed herein are solely those of the author and don’t necessarily represent Sapient’s views.”
Besides this there are lot of other conditions related to confidentiality and blah blah....That should not pose any problem as I hardly want to talk about Sapient here.

I am back online
After a gap of couple of years, I am back online. Lot of things happened during this period. I got married, moved to Delhi, joined a new company, and then I had to remove some of the posts from the blog because the company had some objection to its content. I removed the posts altogether, because I didn't want to have any argument with those people. I am not sure what is the current company policy related to blogging by employees. I will check it out in next few days. Anyways I am not going to refer to my work in the company and anything related to it. I am also going to revive my other blogs especially http://whatdidyoulearntoday.blogspot.com/
